Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is the oldest university in Bulgaria - Bulgarian Alma Mater.

The Faculty of Education is a leader in the field of preventive and corrective pedagogy. In our department from 1994 Master in Pedagogy of deviant behaviour is taught with more than 3,000 students have been trained since then. Many of the MA in Pedagogy of deviant behavior graduates have been working in the field of preventive and corrective pedagogy and started working in the system. In parallel, research topics in our faculty work and specialists in the field of mental health and social service provision for people with special needs and special educational needs.
